Welcome to Mad Head Bump! We value your privacy and want to be transparent about how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Privacy Policy for Cropdeck
This Privacy Policy describes how your data is handled in the game Cropdeck, developed by Mad Head Bump and distributed via Steam and other online services.
Data Collected
We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) directly from players. However, the game uses the following third-party services:
Aptabase (Analytics)
We use Aptabase, a privacy-friendly analytics tool, to collect anonymized gameplay statistics. This includes:
- Game events (e.g. play sessions, level completions)
- Operating system and game version
- Country (based on anonymized IP)
- Timestamp of events
Aptabase generates a random internal user_id
to distinguish gameplay sessions during a single day. This identifier is automatically reset every 24 hours and cannot be used to track individual players over time.
No IP addresses, permanent user identifiers, device IDs, or cookies are stored or collected. The data is used solely to improve the game experience and balance.
Analytics is entirely optional. You will be asked for consent when launching the game for the first time on a given device, and you can disable or re-enable analytics at any time via the in-game settings menu.
Steamworks
The game uses Steamworks, Valve’s platform services, which may include:
- Cloud save storage
- Platform-level crash reports
- Achievements, friends, and other Steam features
Please refer to Valve’s Privacy Policy for details on how Steam handles your data.
Unity Engine Notice
Our game is built using the Unity Engine, a game development platform provided by Unity Technologies. While we do not use Unity Analytics or Unity Ads, the Unity Engine may collect limited technical information about your device for diagnostic or performance purposes. No personal or identifying information is collected through Unity in our current build. For more information, you can review Unity’s privacy policy.
Data Usage
The data collected is used for:
- Improving gameplay balance and user experience
- Fixing bugs and stability issues
- Understanding general trends in game usage
We do not sell or share data with any third parties.
Feedback Surveys and Contact via Email
From time to time, we may ask players to fill out voluntary feedback surveys to help improve Cropdeck during playtesting. These surveys may include an optional field for your email address, which you can choose to provide if you wish to be contacted about specific feedback or bug reports you submitted.
If you provide your email address, it will be:
- used only to follow up on your report or suggestion,
- never shared with third parties,
- not used for marketing or newsletters.
You may request to have your email address deleted at any time by contacting us at madheadbump <at> gmail.com
Your Rights
If you are a resident of the EU, UK, Brazil, California, or other regions with data protection laws, you have the right to:
- Request access to the data we have about you (if any)
- Request deletion of crash logs or analytics data (to the extent possible)
To exercise these rights, or if you have questions about this policy, contact us at madheadbump <at> gmail.com
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be updated in the future. Any changes will be reflected here and may be communicated via Steam or in-game if necessary.

- No third-party tracking scripts or embedded analytics services are used.
If contact forms or email subscriptions are available, data submitted voluntarily (such as name or email) will be used only to respond or deliver requested content. It will not be sold or shared.
